The Sculpt Blog: Wedding Body Guide

How to look good for your wedding day. Lots of us want to lose a few pounds, so let’s talk about how to do it in a healthy, sustainable way.

When I started my wedding fitness journey, I thought I needed to go all out—crazy workouts, extreme dieting, and cutting out everything I loved. But the truth is, the best approach is balanced and realistic. You want to feel good, look great, and actually enjoy the process leading up to your big day.

First things first: set a realistic goal. If you have a few months, focus on steady progress rather than drastic changes. Crash diets might show quick results, but they often lead to burnout or rebound weight gain. Instead, small, consistent changes to your nutrition and exercise routine will keep you feeling strong and energised.

Strength training is your best friend. While cardio helps with fat loss, building muscle through resistance training will give you that toned, sculpted look. Plus, it helps boost metabolism, which means you’ll be burning calories even when you’re not working out.

Nutrition is key, but it doesn’t have to mean deprivation. Instead of cutting out entire food groups, focus on portion control and high-quality foods. Lean proteins, whole grains, and lots of veggies will keep you full and fuelled. And yes, you can still have cake—just maybe not every day!

Hydration and sleep make a huge difference. Drinking enough water helps with digestion, energy levels, and even your skin. And getting good sleep? It helps with stress, cravings, and muscle recovery—so don’t skimp on rest.

Lastly, don’t let stress take over. Wedding planning is hectic, and your fitness journey should be something that makes you feel good, not something that adds pressure. Move your body, eat well, and enjoy the ride. After all, confidence is the best look you can wear on your big day.
